Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This policy explains what Initial Apps LLC, doing business as Treeoge (“Treeoge”, “we”, “us”), collects when you use the Treeoge app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version

• We use your email only to run Treeoge for you.
• We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use your email for advertising.
• Mailbox passwords and connected-app tokens are encrypted.
• Remove a mailbox and the mail we stored for it is deleted.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, company, work email, a hashed password, and when you agreed to our terms.
• Connected mailboxes: the server settings and password for each mailbox you add, and copies of your messages, attachments, folders and contacts, so we can show, search and sort your mail.
• Content you create: drafts, signatures, reply assistants, labels, and your conversations with the AI.
• Connected tools: if you connect Asana or another tool, its access token and the projects, tasks and links you use with it in Treeoge.
• Billing: your plan, number of users and subscription status. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Usage: AI usage per user, for your workspace admin and for our included-AI limits, and basic server logs for security and debugging.

How we use it

• To run Treeoge: show your mail, sort it, draft replies, translate, search, and send the emails you choose to send.
• To manage your account, workspace and subscription, and to contact you about them.
• To keep Treeoge secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We don’t read your email ourselves, except when you ask us to help with a problem or when the law requires it. We don’t use your email to train AI models.

AI processing

To sort mail, draft replies and answer your questions, we send the relevant email content to OpenAI. OpenAI’s API terms don’t allow it to use this data to train its models. If your workspace uses its own OpenAI API key, that content goes to OpenAI under your workspace’s OpenAI account and terms.

Email content is treated as untrusted input. Instructions written inside an email can’t make Treeoge send, move or delete anything. Only your click can.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run Treeoge:

• Amazon Web Services, which hosts our servers;
• MongoDB Atlas, which hosts our database;
• OpenAI, for AI features;
• Stripe, for payments and tax;
• Zoho, which sends our account emails, such as sign-up codes and trial reminders;
• your email provider, and any tools you choose to connect, such as Asana.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data.

Inside a workspace, admins can see the names, emails and AI usage of their users. Admins can’t read other users’ mailboxes.

Security

Mailbox passwords, connected-app tokens and your workspace’s own OpenAI key are encrypted with AES-256. Data is sent over HTTPS, and account passwords are stored as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly if a breach affects it.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is open. When you remove a mailbox, the messages, drafts and AI conversations we stored for it are deleted. To delete your whole account, email info@initialapps.com. We will delete your data within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records. Removing a mailbox from Treeoge doesn’t delete any mail from your email provider.

Cookies

The app uses a single cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and this website doesn’t use analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, including California and the EU, you may have further rights under laws such as the CCPA and GDPR. We don’t sell or share personal information as those laws define it. To use any of these rights, email info@initialapps.com. We won’t treat you differently for using them.

If your company manages your workspace, we may refer some requests to your workspace admin.

Children

Treeoge is for business use and isn’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

International users

Treeoge is run from the United States, and your data is processed and stored there.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
